Italian police bust ring

The Italian police launched a major busting operation against a pedophile network, arresting four persons.

The Public Prosecution Office in Syracuse, Sicily, has put another 110 suspects under investigation.

JUDGES around Australia yesterday closed ranks around Queensland colleague District Court judge Sarah Bradley following her decision to grant a pedophile, who admits he forced an indigenous boy to perform oral sex on him, time to prepare evidence that he was educating his 11-year-old victim about "men's business".

UK to get a sort of 'Megan's Law'

LONDON — Britain's home secretary said Saturday parents will be allowed to check whether people with regular access to their children are convicted pedophiles.

Jacqui Smith said police will introduce the pilot project this summer in four regions and if successful it could be rolled out across England and Wales.

"Four police forces will start schemes that allow a child's parents or guardians to be informed if someone they are having a personal relationship with has previous convictions for child sex offenses," Smith wrote in The News of World newspaper.

Website for monitoring of cases of abuse by the clergy

I will be updating the site with links in the Navigation section to Abuse Tracker which has several updates every day on cases of abuse commited by the clergy against kids. For now though, it's just here on the main page. If I get enthusiastic, I'll update all the other pages today but I've got a particularly interesting case I want to follow up on some questionable activity being carried on by a Brisbanite.

Making contact with more than 2000 young girls in a 6 month period goes beyond the usual range of activity for someone who isn't highly suspect.
